Transplanting today...

Today I transplanted 150+ plants (kale, arugula, spinach and carrots). It might seem like a lot but I still have almost 1000 to transplant or to place outside.  I have been growing from seeds for about 7 weeks. I will be donating some produce to a few needy families, selling garden's in a box, and eating a lot more produce with friends and family. I am very excited and pleased with the journey thus far. Check out some of the pictures I took today at Waverley Farm (JK's farm:))

Ciao!

Seeds to your juice...the journey continues

It has been 18 days since the start of my growing seeds into organic carrots, kale, romaine, arugula, spinach and many more. Everyday that I go to JK's farm I appreciate life and its simplistic beauty that much more.  I  often find myself thinking about their growth and livelihood.  Looking forward to the work to come as we start to transplant in the month of March. Carefully carrying each tray over to the large sink to water them gently through the faucets sprayer. Enjoy some pictures taken with my IPhone today. Boy have they grown...I'm looking forward to spring even more.

Ciao!!

Seeds to your juice...On the farm

-->

Today I started my beautiful journey of not just buying the freshest organic produce but growing my own. I feel so elated and inspired that I can hardly sleep.  J.K. we will call her, is the beautiful and dynamic of the Farm is a master gardener with the most gorgeous farm you will ever see. Today we started the germination process of organic heirloom vegetables and soon fruits. Everyone I come into contact with now knows that all my juices will not only be fresh and organic but grown with my very own hands. I with the help of J.K. and my eleven year old daughter we will be growing carrots, kale, romaine, arugula and so much more.  I always dreamed of this opportunity and now it has finally arrived and I am rearing to go. I will over the course of the next 6 months start offering my clients juice grown and hand picked by me. How amazing is that? Stay tuned while I chronicle the journey of taking juicing from the seed to the juicer. :)

Alkalize yourself

"The bloodstream is a flowing river to all the cells for nourishment and removal of acidic waste residues. so is your bloodstream a river of life or a river of death and disease?"

How do you eliminate effectively acidic waste? Increase your alkaline producing foods...To be alkaline means to be disease free because disease cannot exist in an alkaline environment. Alkaline foods create and encourage the maintenance and regeneration of healthy cells. Healthy cells create healthy tissues. Healthy tissues create healthy organs like the heart and lungs. Eating foods rich in alkalinity not only help your cells but aids in removing toxic heavy metals from your bloodstream. "Heavy metal toxicity can result in damaged or reduced mental and central nervous function, lower energy levels and damage to blood composition, lungs, kidneys, liver and other vital organs."

Acidosis is an increased acidity in the blood and other body tissue (i.e., an increased hydrogen ion concentration).

What are some symptoms of mild acidosis?
  • Cardiovasular damage
  • Weight gain, obesity & diabetes
  • Bladder & kidney conditions
  • Immune deficiency
  • Premature aging
  • Osteoporosis
  • Joint pain
  • Low energy & chronic fatigue
  • Slow digestion & elimination
  • Yeast & candida
Once your bodies pH drops below 7.41 it becomes susceptible to disease and your well being suffers. The entire metabolic process depends on a balanced pH. Juicing and eating fresh vegetables raises your bodies alkaline state pushing out acids from the bloodstream.
